Denzel Washington in a movie, I am so there. He is one of my favorite actors. Lately, though, his selection of movie characters leave my mind befuddled. Take Training Day and American Gangster. Training Day was the turning point from such parts as the safe, dependable, intellectual, noble man and most [...]

A shout-out to esteven. I am so glad all turned out well.
I am quite excited for the upcoming new James Cameron movie, Avatar. The visuals are stunning. The worldview with its own culture and traditions, that’s my kind of movie. And btw, Zoe Saldana is just as beautiful in full gear Avatar makeup as [...]

One of my favorite movies because you know, Dom and Brian are just gorgeous and hot. The movie wasn’t so bad either. I really enjoyed the story considering past movies in the franchise. But hey, we are here to see fast and awesome car scenes, hot cars, and for me Dom and Brian. Yay!

To the good:
I recently saw this and just died. Note: the article is old.

Updated news: FAF4 grossed 72.5 millions this [...]

Everyone deserves a break. Right. Who cares if the plot is mediocre, the writing is just okay, and there is not a single scene requiring serious thinking. Man, who needs it after BSG.
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker make their comeback with Fast and Furious and dude, they are still very much the eye [...]
Movie Review: Seven Pounds

It’s highly unusual for me to attend a movie theater on a major holiday like Christmas. I normally spend this blessed day with family and friends, eating merrily, participating in good discussions, and reminiscing on past events.
So when a friend invited me out to see Seven Pounds at the movies, I thought, okay, this [...]

Personally, I take Maggie Gyllenhaal over Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes. I thought she did a good job with the part. Remember the rumor about Jake going for the Harvey Two Face Dent. Can you imagine the difficulties? *g*
There is a reason why I don’t do IMAX. It’s been quite [...]
Review: American Gangster

Minor spoilers.
There are very few character actors left in the entertainment industry who have the grace, style, articulation, and sheer magnetic presence to pull off several character types from good to bad. At the top of the list is the undeniable Denzel Washington.
It took me weeks to forgive Denzel for his part in Training [...]
