BSG: Someone to Watch Over Me aka Depressed Much

Between someone sideswiping my car and watching the latest BSG, all I can say, can we get even more depressed. I will be putting up screencaps for this ep in a little bit, after maybe having a glass of imaginary scotch.  A few comments, though…

I am greatly disturbed by the doom and gloom of the recent episodes.  I know RDM and others have said the series will not end on a happy note, but frak, this is a litte too much.   I miss BSG pre 4.5.  No matter how bad the situation, the Colonials were able to pull themselves up by the bootstrap and deal.  This lingering around waiting for God knows what is just morbid.

At least Boomer got action going on.  Not of the good sort.  She damn surprised me and reminds me again and again, how evil thinking I am not.  The Six who wanted to try her for treason.  Roslin who rightly sign the paperwork for the trial.    They were right in their assessments of Boomer as compared to Chief’s grieving over his beloved Boomer attempting a second chance for her.   I had said it before, no one can trust an eight and Boomer proved me right in this at least.

Helo, come on.  He can’t tell the difference between Boomer and Athena?  That means Helo would/could screw any eight and won’t know that eight wasn’t his wife.  Seems like a really bad place to be in.  Just wow.

Hera, scary child yet adorable with her curly mop hair.  With her uncanny perceptions, I suspect Hera knew she had to go with Boomer because I refused to believe she didn’t know that wasn’t her mother.  She knew it as an infant when Boomer couldn’t console Hera on the basestar.  So something is up with Hera running off with pseudo mom without nary a fight.

Starbuck – I feel manipulated with these scenes with Starbuck and I guess it was her father.  Although, it was a projection.  Is this Daniel and is he Starbuck’s father.  Is Starbuck part cylon like Hera?  Do I really care at this moment – no.  Were these scenes really a prelude to the new series, Caprica.  All Along the Watchtower is an Anders’ song.  So how does this relate to Starbuck and her father, who as a child played the song on the piano with her father.

What I really want is for these people to get up off their arses and do something.  Stop letting events sap them of their strength and determination.  In the words of 5,000 years old Methos:  “Live, grow stronger, fight another day.”

i am sorry to hear about your car. You were not hurt were you?

Btw, a while ago you had asked for my address. Had you received my mail?

    Hey My Dear,

Yes, I received the addy and will make use of it. No one was hurt except my baby who is only a year and half old. My previous car lasted almost ten years before someone dare touch it. Gawd. Hope all is well as expected of you. Hugs!

Still, what shame about your car. Will somebody’s insurance pay for the damage?

I am so glad, you are unhurt, bécause that is the main thing.
    *hugs and snugs*

I will be checking out the insurance shortly. My car was parked when it was sideswiped and I calledl the police, so there is a record. Damage isn’t too bad, just needs repainting. Still I am concern about the potential increase in premium even though I wasn’t at fault.

I hope that insurance will pay. But if you say that the damage wasn’t too bad, maybe you can ask them if it would be cheaper to pay for yourself, than having to pay increased premiums. At least you can prove that this accident could never have been your fault (unless you parked were you were not permitted to)

    Take care
